A former Lincoln City player, who has also played for Lincoln United, Grimsby Town and Hull City is the latest person to come forward with harrowing tales of abuse he says he witnessed as a young footballer.
The allegations centre around former scout Frank Roper who ran the junior football club Nova.
Frank Roper died 11 years ago.
Jamie Forrester claims that Frank Roper raped a Thai boy in front of him and several other young players during a trip with Nova to the far east.
In a moving interview with the Sunday People, Mr Forrester said: “We were on a trip with him and staying over in a hotel. One evening he befriends a boy whose a similar age to use. Age 11 maybe 12.
“He brings him back to the hotel room that we we’re all staying in and molested him. had sex with him in the room. In the bed next to us.”
“You don’t ask questions because you don’t want to know the answer.”
He also told the Sunday People how he and his teammates raced to their car after outings to avoid being groped in the front seat.
“It was a race to get in the car. Not to be in the front seat. To be next to him. It was a genuine concern that you do not want to be dropped off last.
“You were running to get in that back seat so as not to end up in the front seat as that’s where his hands were.”
Jamie Forrester is just one of over 350 footballers who have come forward with allegations of abuse after Andy Woodward came forward with his own mortifying story describing the abuse he faced at the hands of convicted paedophile Barry Bennell.
