A Lincoln County Councillor believes environmental company Veolia should choose somewhere else in the city to build their new waste site.
This comes after plans from the company to build a new waste site on Long Leys Road near West Common, which would see an open 24 hour facility, seven days a week, seeing up to 60 lorries visiting the site daily.
Recently, local residents have hit out at Veolia’s plans, believing there could be an increase of vermin, traffic and health risks.
For unhappy Lincoln residents, a petition has been set up by a University of Lincoln professor, which has over 500 signatures.
County councillor for Lincoln West, Robert Parker, spoke to LSJToday reporter Danyal Khan, and discussed why he’s against Veolia’s proposed new waste site:
